Wade Rain Catalog

CLIENT:

Travis Pattern and Foundry

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Identify the inconsistencies throughout the catalog and find a cheaper way to distinguish each section of the book without using tab inserts.

GOAL:

Revise a catalog that is easy for the user to navigate and that is consistent throughout the entire book and correlates back to the main Travis Pattern and Foundry catalog if cross-referencing is needed.

PLATFORM:

Print Catalog

TOOLS I USED:

indesign.png

THE PROBLEM:

This catalog was started many years ago by an employee of the company who had very little knowledge of InDesign or even simple design concepts. I first tackled this issue by making a list of everything that I would change with the catalog.

RESEARCH:

After figuring out what to keep and discard I did a little bit of research to see how their competitors / other companies in this industry dealt with the same type of information.

FINAL PRODUCT:

After completing multiple iterations of this catalog I was able to reach a point where both the client and I were satisfied with the results. I was able to change the UX for not only the customer using this catalog in the future but also for the designer who will take on this project in the future.
